Educational Psychology Legal Documents: Designed for EPs in England
We are excited to have contributed to the EP Legal Toolkit developed by Clare Veal at Aubergine Legal.
Why? Because when we were launching our independent educational psychology practice in England, we couldn’t find an off the peg solution to meet our legal needs. We were trying to adapt clinical psychology legal frameworks, but nothing quite worked for our educational psychology practice.
Working as an EP in England needed different documentation – and we couldn’t find anything out there that properly covered what educational psychologists actually need to work with schools, families, local authorities and to provide supervision services.
We wanted to help the EP community to have access to the legal documents they need to practice confidently and safely.
Getting Our Legal Documentation in Place
We needed proper legal documentation. We knew Aubergine Legal worked with clinical psychologists, so we got in touch. We offered to meet with them to discuss what educational psychologists really need – partly because we wanted to help fellow EPs facing the same challenges, and partly because we desperately needed our own legal docs sorted.
After they’d completed our comprehensive legal documentation (which was exactly what we needed), we had another chat about the wider challenges facing educational psychologists in England. The quality was spot-on for our practice, and we could see how useful this could be for other EPs.
The Educational Psychology Legal Toolkit for England
Aubergine Legal has developed the Educational Psychology Legal Toolkit specifically for EP practice. The toolkit includes documentation for working with families, schools, local authorities and for pro bono work. It also contains templates for providing supervision services. Helpfully, they have a nifty little guide that helps you to work out which templates you need.
We’re keen to support other educational psychologists setting up independent practices across England. We hope that purchasing the toolkit will be a more cost effective approach than commissioning bespoke documents (like we did).
If you think this toolkit would help your EP practice, we’d appreciate it if you use the promo code ‘Katie’ in your cart. We didn’t take any payment for contributing ideas to the pack, but we do earn a referral fee from every purchase using this code.
Links to Aubergine’s EP Legal Toolkit earn us a referral fee (it won’t cost you more). We only highlight opportunities we genuinely believe are relevant and useful. Our recommendations are made with independent judgment. Please note: We were involved in a discussion about EP practice, but all legal content and advice within the toolkit is the responsibility of Aubergine Legal. We recommend reviewing all materials to ensure they meet your specific practice requirements.
